When we test codes for this site, the ones that “fail” usually aren’t dead at all — they’re colliding with one of Temu’s conditions. Run through this list in order; most people find their fix in the first three.
1. The code is for new customers only
This is the number-one cause. Temu’s largest offers — the big percentage promotions and coupon bundles — are typically reserved for accounts making their first order. If your account has ever completed a purchase, the code will be rejected or silently apply nothing. There’s no workaround on an existing account; look for the smaller rotating codes instead.
2. Your cart is under the minimum spend
Many codes require a minimum order value before they activate. The threshold isn’t always shown next to the code, but the checkout error usually mentions it. Add a small item to cross the line and try again.
3. Another discount is already applied
Temu generally allows one promo code per order. If a code or account voucher is already attached to your cart, remove it first, then enter the new code.
4. The code has expired
Codes rotate constantly. If you found the code on a page with no dates, it may be months old. Every code on our list shows the date it was last tested at checkout, so you can judge freshness before typing anything.
5. It’s an app-only promotion
Free-gift codes and game-style offers frequently work only in the Temu app, not on temu.com. If a code fails in the browser, spending one minute trying it in the app is worth it.
6. Region mismatch
Temu runs different promotions in different countries. A code shared from another region may simply not exist in yours. Codes on this site are tested from a real checkout, but conditions can still vary by country.
7. A typo or a stray space
Unglamorous but common: codes are usually case-sensitive-ish and always space-sensitive. Use a copy button rather than retyping, and check nothing extra was pasted at the end.
