Nearly every large Temu discount is labelled “for new users”, and most disappointment with codes traces back to this one word. It is worth knowing precisely what Temu treats as new, because it is not simply a fresh email address.

The working definition
An account with no completed order history. Signing up does not spend your new-user status; placing an order does. So if you registered months ago and never bought anything, you are very likely still eligible, which surprises people.
Temu also looks at signals beyond the account itself — device, payment method and address are all associated with order history. A new email on the same phone and card as a previous account is usually not treated as new.
Why this matters before your first order
New-user status is spent once, on whatever order you happen to place. Making it a small test purchase wastes the largest offer you will ever get. If you are planning to shop Temu at all, make the first order the real one.
These are the codes currently tested, with the terms noted on each card:
Verified Temu codes right now — Each one is tested at a real checkout before it goes up, and pulled the day it stops applying.

The approach that backfires
Creating multiple accounts to re-claim welcome offers breaches the terms and the detection is reasonably good. Losing an account and the credits sitting in it costs more than the offer was worth.
FAQ
I registered but never ordered. Am I still new?
Usually yes. Eligibility keys off order history rather than the signup date.
Does a cancelled or refunded order count?
It may still register as order history. Treat your status as spent once an order has been placed.
