The question is reasonable given what the search results look like. Ninety percent off, unlimited free gifts, codes that never expire — the claims are loud enough to make the whole category look fake. Real codes do exist. They are just less dramatic than the marketing around them.

What a genuine Temu code looks like
It comes from Temu’s own promotions or its official affiliate programme. It applies a percentage to qualifying items or credits a set of vouchers to your account. It usually favours new accounts, and it has an expiry. What it does not do is take a flat 90% off an arbitrary basket, because no marketplace can sustain that as a standing offer.
Realistic expectations are the best defence here. If an offer would bankrupt the company at scale, it is not a standing offer.
Why so many listed codes are dead
Publishing untested codes costs a site nothing, and a long list looks more authoritative than a short one. Codes also legitimately die: campaigns end and redemption caps fill. Between the two, the average undated coupon list decays into fiction within weeks of publication.
We keep our list deliberately short and dated. Each card shows when the code was last pasted into a real checkout, and codes that stop applying are deleted rather than left up:
Verified Temu codes right now — Each one is tested at a real checkout before it goes up, and pulled the day it stops applying.

A three-question test for any coupon page
Does it show a verification date? Does it explain what the code applies to, rather than only a headline percentage? Does it say who qualifies? A page that answers all three is probably doing real work. A page that answers none is publishing hope.
FAQ
Is Temu itself legitimate?
Temu is a real marketplace operated by a large public company. Whether any particular coupon code is live is a separate question from whether the retailer is real.
Why do codes work for new users but not me?
Because the largest discounts are first-order acquisition offers. Existing accounts get smaller, faster-rotating offers, mostly delivered in-app.
